Talking with community experts and refining features, this week focused on validating KONVOY’s vision for the overlanding and car enthusiast communities. Development of the Drive Wizard continues alongside finalizing key UI elements.
Current KPIs
We’re steadily gaining traction with the KONVOY waitlist. Here’s where we stand this week:
- Waitlist signups: 13 🚗 (up 2 from last week)
The consistent growth is a positive signal that our vision resonates with both car enthusiasts and the overlanding community.
Talking to Customers
This week, I had the privilege of chatting with David from Georgia Overland, thanks to a cold LinkedIn DM. David was incredibly generous with his time and insights, which were both validating and informative:
- Network Availability: According to David, about 50% of the Georgia Traverse trail has network coverage, which was better than I expected and opens up exciting possibilities for KONVOY’s utility on the trail.
- Current Communication Methods: Many overlanders rely on GMRS radios, which is something we can consider complementing with KONVOY’s features.
- Market Insights: David provided invaluable input on the size of the overlanding community and shared ideas for reaching this niche market effectively.
I’m deeply grateful for this conversation and the enthusiasm David shared for KONVOY’s potential.

How We’re Feeling
This week was another step forward for KONVOY. Talking to David brought fresh excitement and reinforced the potential of KONVOY for overlanding. Knowing that KONVOY could bridge gaps in current communication methods and enhance the experience for overlanders and car enthusiasts alike is incredibly motivating.
On the development front, while the Route Builder took longer than anticipated, it’s gratifying to see it finished. Progress is slightly behind schedule, but with the heavy lifting for this feature out of the way, we’re optimistic about regaining momentum in the coming weeks.
